The School of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in association with the Athens Public International Law Center (Athens PIL), cordially invite you to express your interest for the 61st Philip C. The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the oldest moot court competition in the world with more than 1000 participating universities all around the globe. University students are called to act as agents of two imaginary countries pleading in defence of their country on issues of public international law before the International Court of Justice. This year the competition will address issues of multi-fora international litigation, the accountability of heads of States for war crimes, killer robots and … a wall. The complete case is expected to be released by the organizers this week.
The team will have to prepare the written submissions and then argue the case before a panel of judges. The National Rounds will take place in early 2020, and the International Rounds will take place in Washington, D.C., USA on 12-18 April 2020. For more information on the competition, you can visit the organizer’s website: www.ilsa.org/about-jessup.
